Dr. Michael A. Mollo is a board-certified physician with a strong background in procedural medicine, precision-based care, and clinical leadership. He brings a meticulous, detail-oriented approach to hair restoration, combining advanced medical training with a passion for aesthetic outcomes and patient-centered care.
He is an Associate Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). Under the guidance and mentorship of our founder Dr. Michael Vories he is actively advancing his expertise in modern hair restoration techniques, including follicular unit extraction (FUE), medical therapy optimization, and long-term hair loss management.
A Transition of Leadership
Dr. Mollo has assumed the primary surgical role; patients can continue to expect the physician-performed approach that has distinguished Carolina Hair Surgery.
He personally performs follicle extraction and implantation, along with other key components of the procedure, carrying forward the practice’s commitment to individualized care and the careful surgical execution every Carolina Hair Surgery Patient Expects.
Dr. Vories is transitioning away from a full-time surgical schedule into a consulting role within the practice. He will remain available for patient consultations and continue contributing his experience and guidance.

Personal
Originally born in Providence, Rhode Island and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Dr. Mollo now practices in North Carolina. He is a hair transplant patient of Dr. Vories.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys fitness, technology, entrepreneurship, and spending time on the water.
