Patient Sedation Guidelines

If you desire sedation during the procedure, you must have transportation arranged prior to the day of surgery. Patients cannot drive after receiving sedation.

If you desire sedation, you must provide us with a phone number of the pharmacy you would use to pick up the sedative before the procedure. This pharmacy can be in your home town or near the clinic. In addition, we would need your date of birth to call in the prescription.  Also let us know if you have any allergies to medications before we call in the prescription. In most cases, the prescription can be called in the same day as we receive the pharmacy information.

The sedative is generic, and the cost should be minimal at the pharmacy.
