Before Dr. Vories became an expert in the field of hair restoration surgery, he was a hair transplant patient himself. Important Facts About Our Practice
We Do Not Perform Robotic FUE
Carolina Hair Surgery does not offer robotic procedures due to the much larger punch size the robot uses. These large punches can leave punctate scarring in the donor area, requiring the patient to wear their hair longer to cover the punch sites.
Who is Performing Your Procedure?
Many clinics now offer FUE as a service, such as dermatologists or plastic surgery practices. Most of these practices use non-licensed personnel to perform the surgery. This is both illegal and unethical. At Carolina Hair Surgery, we only perform hair transplant surgery. Your procedure is not just another income stream for us. We have been performing hair transplants for over 20 years, so we have experience with all types of hair, curly or straight, gray or African American hair. When considering where to have your procedure, make sure that your consult is being performed by the physician doing the procedure, and ask who will be performing the procedure. If a non-physician will be performing the procedure, we highly recommend finding another clinic. Your hair is a precious resource, and a poorly performed procedure is not just a waste of money but also using up the limited amount of donor hair.
